Role Overview
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring safety, security, and compliance across the client’s premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Protect employees, visitors, buildings, and movable assets
- Conduct regular property patrols
- Monitor and operate surveillance systems
- Inspect premises and equipment
- Control access and manage entry/exit points
- Respond using alarms or emergency systems when necessary
- Report incidents and policy violations; restrain trespassers if required
- Direct on-site traffic and guide drivers
- Maintain detailed reports and logs of incidents and daily activities
- Perform preventative maintenance on security equipment
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations
- Respond to emergencies and assist employees/customers
- Safeguard company assets against theft, fire, assault, and other risks

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 11–12 / Matric or equivalent qualification
- Valid and renewed PSIRA Grade C registration (compulsory)
- Driver’s license (advantageous)
- Computer literacy certificate (advantageous)
