About the Programme
Santam is offering a 12-month Learnership Programme aimed at empowering unemployed South African youth (ages 18–28) with the skills, qualifications, and practical experience needed to thrive in the financial services industry. This is your chance to gain accredited training, earn a monthly stipend, and launch your career with South Africa’s leading short-term insurer.

Who Should Apply?
Eligible applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Age: 18–28 years
- Citizenship: South African citizen
- Education: Matric/Grade 12 with:
- Minimum 50% in English and a second language
- Minimum 40% in Mathematics or 60% in Mathematical Literacy
- Employment Status: Currently unemployed
- Work Experience: No more than 1 year
- Learnership Status: Must not have previously participated in a Short-Term Insurance Learnership funded by INSETA
- Disability: Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply (must provide medical proof of disability)
- Availability: Must not be registered or studying at any other institution during the Learnership
Who Should NOT Apply?
- Applicants with post-matric qualifications (e.g., Higher Certificate, National Diploma, Degree, Honours)
- Individuals currently studying toward a post-matric qualification
- Those with more than 1 year of work experience
