Sanlam Group invites unemployed South African youth aged 18 to 35 to apply for its 2025 Learnership Programme. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a national qualification, build real-world work experience, and grow within one of South Africa’s leading financial services companies.


About the Learnership

Offered by Sanlam Corporate, this programme forms part of Sanlam’s Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP), designed to develop a skilled talent pipeline. High-performing learners may be considered for permanent junior-level roles upon completion.


What the Programme Offers

  • A 12-month contract
  • Monthly allowance and study support
  • A national qualification: Certificate in Wealth Management (NQF Level 4)
  • On-the-job training, classroom learning, and mentoring
  • A structured portfolio of evidence
  • Ongoing coaching and performance tracking

Programme Duties

  • Learn about Sanlam’s products, systems, and operations
  • Attend classroom-based lessons and complete workplace training
  • Compile and maintain a Portfolio of Evidence and logbooks
  • Pass both formative and summative assessments
  • Complete work-related duties under manager supervision

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen, aged 18–35
  • Be unemployed and not currently enrolled in any studies
  • Not hold a tertiary qualification
  • Have passed Grade 12 with:
    • 50% or more in English, and
    • 50% or more in Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, or Accounting
  • Be fluent in English (read, write, speak)
  • Be committed to completing the 12-month learnership
  • Have a clear criminal and credit record
  • Have reliable transport to the workplace

Selection Timeline
